Introduction

At NTT DATA Payment Services and our holding company, subsidiaries, affiliates, and associated companies we respect the privacy of individuals with regard to their Personal Data. This Notice is in accordance with Malaysia Personal Data Protection Act (“PDPA”) 2010 which we believe is aligned to the ASEAN region in particular the Philippines Data Privacy Act, Indonesia PDPA, Thailand PDPA, Singapore PDPA, Australia PDPA and other applicable data protection laws, including the European Union (“EU”) General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), where applicable.

Pursuant thereto, this Notice outlines some of our policies and principles pertaining to the privacy of your personal information, signifying our commitment to respect, maintain, protect and safeguard the privacy of your personal information.

By interacting with us on our websites, e-payment portals, or by using websites owned or operated by us (“Websites”), you consent to the processing of your Personal Data by NTT DATA Payment Services and all persons involved in the provision of services by NTT DATA Payment Services.

Collection of Personal Data

1. Definition of Personal Data
“Personal Data” refers to any information that identifies you or could be used to identify you. This includes your name, address, phone number, identity card number, email address, personal preferences, and other data you provide or that may be collected, stored, used, and processed by NTT DATA Payment Services.

2. Generally, we collect your Personal Data in the following ways:

  2. When you register for or use any of our services on our websites
  3. When you interact with our staff, including customer service representatives
  4. When you use or purchase our products or services
  5. When you create or manage online accounts with us

  9. When you participate in promotions, initiatives, or market surveys
  10. When you submit a job or scholarship application

3. Voluntary Disclosure
Providing your Personal Data is voluntary. However, not doing so may prevent us from offering services, responding to inquiries, or maintaining communication with you.

By providing your Personal Data, you agree that NTT DATA Payment Services may collect, retain, and process your information to fulfill the following purposes, including but not limited to:

NTT DATA Payment Services may engage with external parties to perform services on our behalf. This may require granting access to or disclosing your Personal Data to trusted third parties, including but not limited to:

  • Other divisions or affiliated entities within NTT DATA Payment Services

  • Marketing or promotional partners offering products/services, contests, or programs (subject to applicable laws)

  • Credit bureaus, debt collection agencies, or dispute resolution centres in case of disputes or payment defaults
  • Business partners, investors, assignees, or transferees (actual or potential) involved in mergers, acquisitions, or asset sales

  • Any third party to whom our rights and obligations are transferred

Confidentiality & Privacy Principles

7. At NTT DATA Payment Services, your Personal Data is treated with the utmost confidentiality, in alignment with our Group Personal Data Protection Policy and applicable data protection laws.

8. We collect only the personal information necessary to understand your needs and provide better service.

9. Your information is used solely to enhance and deliver our products and services more effectively.

10. We do not disclose your information to any external organization without your consent, unless required by law or previously communicated to you.

11. All personnel and third parties with authorized access to your data are bound by strict confidentiality obligations.

12. We employ reasonable and practical security measures to ensure your Personal Data remains accurate, up-to-date, and protected from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, modification, or disclosure.

Retention of Personal Data

13. Your Personal Data will be retained for as long as it is necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected. In most cases, this period will not exceed seven (7) years, unless a longer retention period is required by applicable laws or needed to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Right of Access to Personal Data and Inquiries

14. Subject to applicable legal exceptions, you may request access to your Personal Data, or request correction, rectification, or updates if your data is inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated. For such requests or general inquiries related to your Personal Data and this Notice, please contact our designated Data Protection Officers.

15. Where we rely on your consent to use your Personal Data, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time. This withdrawal will, however, not affect the lawfulness of processing based on your consent before your withdrawal. If you withdraw your consent to any or all purposes, and depending on the nature of your request, we may not be in a position to continue to provide you with our products or services.

16. NTT DATA Payment Services reserves the right to charge you a reasonable fee for processing any data access request.

17. In the event of any conflict between the English version and versions in other languages, the English version shall prevail. NTT DATA Payment Services has the right to modify, update, or amend the terms of this Notice at any time by placing the updated Notice on its Website. Continuing communication or use of NTT DATA Payment Services services shall signify your acceptance of the Notice, unless you inform us otherwise.
