NTT DATA Corporation and TEMAIRAZU, Inc. today announced the launch of a new integrated service that automates processes from reservation to payment settlement for accommodation providers. The service integrates TEMAIRAZU’s centralized hotel booking management system with a B2B payment scheme leveraging Mastercard’s Virtual Card Number (VCN), enabling end-to-end automation for reservations made via overseas online travel agencies (OTAs).
The solution automates billing and reconciliation processes for accommodation fees collected through overseas OTAs, significantly reducing administrative workload for hotels. By stabilizing and accelerating payment cycles, the service also contributes to improved cash flow management.
The first implementation has been launched through collaboration between Kuretake Inn Holdings Co., Ltd., a hotel group headquartered in Hamamatsu, Japan, and global digital travel platform Agoda. By 2027, NTT DATA and TEMAIRAZU plan to expand integration to major overseas OTAs worldwide and deploy the service to approximately 2,000 accommodation facilities across Japan.
Japan’s inbound tourism market continues to expand, driven by post-pandemic recovery and favorable currency trends. With the Japanese government targeting 60 million inbound visitors and ¥15 trillion in tourism spending by 2030, accommodation providers face increasing demand while also contending with severe labor shortages and rising operational complexity.
While many hotels use site controller systems to centrally manage reservations across multiple OTAs, payment and settlement processes have often remained separate and manual. This new integration closes that gap by linking reservation data with secure VCN-based payments, enabling seamless automation across the entire transaction lifecycle.
Under the solution, NTT DATA securely manages card information in compliance with PCI-DSS standards, allowing accommodation providers to utilize VCN payments without directly handling sensitive card data. This ensures regulatory compliance while maintaining high levels of security and reliability.
Key benefits of the service include:
- Automated reconciliation and settlement using VCN technology
- PCI-DSS-compliant card management handled by NTT DATA
- First integration of PCI-DSS-compliant VCN payments with a major Japanese site controller
- Reduced front-desk workload and prevention of manual settlement errors
- Improved payment stability and accelerated cash flow
- Expanded opportunities for global OTA distribution
Through this collaboration, NTT DATA and TEMAIRAZU aim to accelerate digital transformation (DX) in the hospitality sector, support operational resilience, and contribute to the sustainable growth of the global tourism industry.
